Questions Louisiana homeowners ask

How fast can you get out to my house in Louisiana?

Most calls get scheduled the same day or the next, depending on where you are in the state and how the day is running. Tell us when you call whether the house is unsafe hot, whether anyone in the home has health concerns, and whether you are seeing water damage. That moves you up the list. If we cannot make it that day, we will give you a real window instead of a guess.

Why does my AC run all day in a Louisiana summer and still not cool the house?

Usually it is one of four things: low refrigerant charge, a dirty evaporator coil, a failing capacitor or blower, or ductwork and returns that were undersized when the house was built. Humidity makes it worse, because the system has to pull moisture out before it can drop the temperature. Before we come out, you can change the filter, confirm every supply vent is open, and clear grass and leaves away from the outdoor unit. Everything past that is a service call.

Do you work in my town, or only the big cities?

We work across Louisiana, including smaller towns outside the metro areas, and we also cover Oklahoma and Texas. The city pages below are the areas we get to most often, but that list is not the whole map. If you do not see your town, call and give us your address. We will tell you straight whether we cover you and when we can be there.

What should I have ready before the technician arrives?

Know where your indoor unit lives, whether that is an attic, a closet or a garage, and clear a path to it. Have your thermostat accessible and note what it is set to. If you know the age of the system or have any past repair paperwork, that helps. Please pen up dogs and let us know about attic access, because a lot of Louisiana homes have a pull-down hatch that needs clearance.

I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?

Get everyone out of the house first. Do not flip switches, do not use the thermostat, and do not light anything. Once you are outside and away from the building, call 911 or your gas utility and let them make the house safe. After they clear it, call us and we will inspect the furnace, the heat exchanger and the gas connections before you run heat again. The same rule applies if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. Details on your porch help us arrive with the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, the indoor coil and blower, then the outdoor unit and electrical side. You get a plain explanation of what failed and why it failed.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We walk you through the fix and any parts involved before we start. Once you say go, we make the repair and confirm the system is holding temperature before we leave your driveway.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for hard summersWe work on attic air handlers in July heat, undersized returns in older subdivisions, and condensers with hail-flattened fins. Those are everyday jobs across the region, so we know where these systems tend to give out first.
  • Air conditioner repair and heating repairOne crew for both seasons. Air conditioning repair when the house won't cool, heater repair and furnace repair when the burners won't stay lit. Same technicians, same records, so nobody starts from scratch in November.
  • We explain the failureYou hear which component failed and what it was doing to the rest of the system. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging unit, we say so and let you decide the timing.
  • Respect for the houseDrop cloths, shoe covers, and the attic hatch closed the way we found it. We keep the work area clean and we tell you honestly when a problem is airflow or ductwork rather than the equipment itself.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
