Duct Replacement

We replace failed and leaking duct systems in homes across Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, from crushed flex runs in the attic to old trunk lines that never moved enough air. You need replacement when ducts are torn, disconnected, mould-stained, badly undersized, or so old the insulation has fallen off. If some rooms never cool and your AC runs all afternoon, call us and we will inspect the whole run before quoting any work.

What a duct replacement actually involves

We start in the attic or crawlspace and map every run, the supply trunk, the returns and the plenum connections at the air handler. Old flex comes out, new insulated duct goes in with proper support straps so it does not sag and choke airflow. Boots get sealed to the ceiling, the plenum gets rebuilt where it is damaged, and returns get resized if they are starving the blower. Most homes are one or two days of work depending on attic access and layout.

What we check and what we install

We measure static pressure, check airflow at each register, and look for disconnected runs, crushed elbows, wet insulation and gaps at the plenum. Then we size the system to the house rather than copying what the builder installed. That means correctly sized trunk and branch ducts, sealed joints, insulated runs rated for hot attics, and returns big enough for the blower to breathe. We also address grilles and filter racks, since a tight filter slot undoes good duct work fast.

How we decide replacement is the right call

Repair wins more often than people expect. A single torn run or a loose boot is a patch, not a project. We recommend full replacement when leakage is spread across the system, when insulation has degraded through the whole attic, when the ducts are undersized for the equipment, or when there is water damage and microbial growth inside the liner. We show you what we found and give you the repair option alongside the replacement option so the choice is yours.

Duct Replacement — quick answers

How long do ducts usually last?

Flex duct in a hot attic often shows real wear after fifteen to twenty years, sometimes sooner if rodents or foot traffic have damaged it. Metal trunks last longer, though the joints and insulation still need attention.

Can you replace ducts without replacing my AC?

Yes. If your air conditioner is in good shape, we design the new duct system around the equipment you already have. We will tell you plainly if the current unit is mismatched to the house.

Will new ducts fix one hot bedroom?

Often, especially if that room sits at the end of a long crushed run or has no return path. We measure airflow at the register first so we are fixing the actual cause, not guessing.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. Details on your porch help us arrive with the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, the indoor coil and blower, then the outdoor unit and electrical side. You get a plain explanation of what failed and why it failed.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We walk you through the fix and any parts involved before we start. Once you say go, we make the repair and confirm the system is holding temperature before we leave your driveway.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for hard summersWe work on attic air handlers in July heat, undersized returns in older subdivisions, and condensers with hail-flattened fins. Those are everyday jobs across the region, so we know where these systems tend to give out first.
  • Air conditioner repair and heating repairOne crew for both seasons. Air conditioning repair when the house won't cool, heater repair and furnace repair when the burners won't stay lit. Same technicians, same records, so nobody starts from scratch in November.
  • We explain the failureYou hear which component failed and what it was doing to the rest of the system. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging unit, we say so and let you decide the timing.
  • Respect for the houseDrop cloths, shoe covers, and the attic hatch closed the way we found it. We keep the work area clean and we tell you honestly when a problem is airflow or ductwork rather than the equipment itself.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
